I have an older pocket chainsaw that has teeth on the top and bottom of the chain. This one only has teeth on one side. Most of the time I don't care, if I remember to pay attention to which way the chain is on the wood: my wife was quick to point out it takes a whole lot more effort to saw wood without using the teeth.
This chain wraps up smaller than my other pocket chainsaw and is a little lighter. It came sharp, oiled, and ready to go. This one is going into the hiking backpack for those just-in-case times a small tree or limb has fallen on the trail.
The included gloves are a size small to medium. I wear medium-large gloves and can stretch these on but the fit is tight. The strap is comfortable enough that I've avoided using the gloves, but I haven't had to cut more than a thick branch or two each use.
