This is a beautiful piece of wall furniture. It is solid and a bit heavy so you will need to anchor it to the wall to make sure it is secure. The wood is a good quality and has a really nice surface. The front slides off and hides some nice storage space. The sisal carpet pads attach easily. I can definitely see using this alongside some other shelves so your cat has a path of things to climb. It is definitely sturdy enough if your cat decides to perch there. I just hung it a few minutes ago so I will report back after a few days. It looks good and has good craftsmanship.

This is really much nicer than I was expecting! Very sturdy construction and includes heavy duty screws for wall mounting. My cats are both over 14 lbs. and can easily sit on top! The bamboo box has wooden dividers inside to organize supplies. It is so nice, I was tempted to use it myself and not attach the sisal scratching pads. This would be a great gift for a cat owner.

Alright so the cabinet here is built solidly, BUT there are some definite design flaws. I was surprised when I took it out of the box to see that the sisal just sticks on with an adhesive. Since this is designed for cats to scratch on, I don’t feel that it will hold up well. The storage space inside is laid out well to accommodate different shapes and sizes of items, BUT once attached the wall it’s an actual struggle to get the door open. There’s no lip, grip, divot, anything to hold onto to grab the sliding door. Now on the inside of the door, there’s a channel like it’s made to use to slide the door, so I thought maybe my door was just in backwards but it definitely only fits one way.

Maybe the one I received was made incorrectly? But even if I get the door issue resolved, it’s not going to help the sisal being held on with an adhesive strip.

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this.
