This BigMouth x Squishmallows splash pad works exactly like it looks in the product photos! Because the pad arrives almost vacuum sealed and compressed, the instructions suggest gently inflating the pad with some air using a low flow air pump, like the kind you use for an air bed, so that water can fill the space more easily. Since we didn't have an air pump, we just blew into the nozzle for a little while, and that seemed to be enough to help water smoothly into all corners of the pad.
Once inflated, the little water spouts start spraying upward. If you find that yours are spraying out of the pad, just gently lift and tug the bottom out a bit so the holes are pointed inward. After some quick adjusting, all of our spouts were spraying perfectly.
Our 7 month old loves splashing in the pad, and the size of it even allows plenty of room for a parent or two to get in and supervise.
Cleanup is a bit of a pain, because this thing holds a surprising amount of water. I gently pushed on the outer ring to drain the tube before slowly folding the pad to push the water out of the nozzle. Once enough water drained, I was able to pick up the whole pad and let gravity finish the job.
Overall, this is a really fun splash pad for younger kids. Our 7 month old and our friends' 1 and a half year old both enjoyed playing in it.
