As a wildlife rehabilitator I often get in baby squirrels that had been fed and aspirated by lay folks. Aspiration pneumonia is often deadly if not caught and immediately and aggressively treated. Warm moisture is one of the key treatments aside potent antibiotics, and so far the best I could do was put in hot water and let the steam fill the container. But that is also dangerous if the baby suddenly moves and knocks the hot water over. So when I saw this humidifier a lightbulb went on: This could be perfect for warm moisture! Regular room humidifiers put out way too much moisture and would soak the container and cause hypothermia. This fogger/humidifier is a lot better because it doesn't spit out a gallon of water in a few hours.
I hope to not get any deathly ill baby in any time soon, but if I do, I will be better equipped.
