I honestly didn't check the dimensions of the thing before ordering it, but pictures of the toy definitely make it look bigger. They're either using dwarf kitties, or there are pics where you can see it's been clearly Photoshopped.
Having said that, our cats really enjoyed it. Then got tired of it. Then came back to it and had a blast with it again. Right now they're bored with it again.
The catnip it came with was not great quality....don't buy it because it includes catnip.
Definitely pay attention that you want to insert the ball into the side of the tunnel BEFORE magnetizing the toy into a circular shape. Yes, you can wedge the ball into the tunnel when it's assembled, but the cardboard is easily bent.
It comes across as being made of corrugated cardboard, but it's more of a brown paper - it probably needs this for the flex to make it a circle, but that means your cats can also deform it with their elbow while wrestling with the ball in the tunnel. I gave this the high score for sturdiness (because when in a circle, it does feel oddly sturdy!!), but for durability I went low - not sure this thing will keep it's shape long with the cats having fun with it.
I'm still considering getting a second one, or buying a 2-pack - it would be fun to have it bigger relative to the size of our cats (very fit 2 yr olds, they're not chonks yet). I can just sit them down inside of it.... Or what about getting some of the different variations in shapes out there, and stacking them!?
