This kit does not come with proper fuse taps. Instead, it comes with fuse connectors that remove the fuse altogether - no good for your original circuit or for the camera. Proper fuse taps allow fuses for both circuits (original and new), but these are just pronged connectors with no fuse (again, removes the original fuse as well). That's just stupid.
To do this right, you have to cut these connectors off, buy two sets of fuse taps (one for constant 12v and one for ACC), and then cut and solder the correct fuse taps into this kit. If you're going to be cutting up wires, you may as well save the money and just cut up the original power cord and hide that or just buy a USB 12v adapter and splice into that. I've done much more complex wiring in vehicles before, but I bought this kit to make it plug and play. If I have to cut and solder anyway, why waste the money on this stupid kit?
Look at the competing wiring kits here on Amazon - they come with fuse taps. Buy one of them instead.
