Beautiful tone, compact instrument

Amazing everything that is included with this package. I have a full size banjo and was looking for something smaller that would be easier to take to practices. This is about the size of my tenor ukulele but still sounds very much like a real banjo, I believe due to the metal strings. I have a Kmise banjolele which has the nylon strings and you can definitely tell the difference in tone. It took a few days before the string would stay in tune, but that is normal for any new instrument. This is so much lighter than my regular size 5 string banjo and much easier to transport. Solid construction well made, just a beautiful instrument.

This banjolele is an excellent buy with great sound. It comes with everything you need to get started playing right away even including a tuner! The case is excellent and fits all the "extras" - strap, set of extra strings (neatly labeled with wrench), and picks (traditional and finger). The best part is the ruler that is provided for making sure the bridge is in the correct location. The ruler made it so simple to put together! Overall, this banjolele has a great sound, especially once it is tuned and the strings are able to settle - after about 4-7 days of playing. By then the strings sound fuller and less metallic. Overall a great product for the price and a great gift for someone wanting to learn to play!

This banjo is so fun to play! I tried this tuned to the suggested open G (gDGBd) like a standard banjo as well as an open C (cGCEg). Personally, I think I prefer the sound with the C-tuning and recommend playing around with which tuning you like best. I am loving these steel strings! The sound is so bright and bouncy, this banjo projects sound well. Very happy with this purchase.
