Overall for a cheap price, the item works. When using this power supply, I have to turn my microphone gain all the way up which isn't the best thing (plus it still being too quiet), however, this is what you should expect at this price.

I didn't think this worked at first because when I plugged it into my MacBook Pro it didn't detect anything, this is because MacBooks and many other laptops don't recognize the jack that comes in the packaging because its a 2.5mm jack and not a 3.5mm jack, HOWEVER, I don't recommend buying a splitter because many of these don't work either but I do recommend getting a USB soundcard or an XLR to USB cord, preferably a USB soundcard.

Overall good product but I will be upgrading in the future.

I would say that power supply is a misnomer.

We are using it and it is functional in what it does. But is not a power supply. There is no internal power in the unit. However, it does allow an external power supply to be inserted into a microphone cable for a a mic that needs 48v phantom power to operate. We are operating this condenser mic as a wireless remote, using this device with a rechargeable battery pack for iPhones.
