Great hand and arm position

I've been using a track ball for at least twenty years. I had no idea an ergo version was available. My bad for not looking. I ordered this one late one night and received it the next day and so was surprised at the delivery speed. Unfortunately the ball was out of round and consequently would stick in the opening making it unusable. However, I returned it immediately for a replacement which also was received in one day and this one works perfectly. For me it is worth the price to have my arm positioned more naturally for the hours I use the track ball daily.

Nice and comfortable for casual computer use

Pros:
- Solid construction.
- Comfortable to hold, with its angled grip and decently large size.
- Trackball feel is nice and smooth.
- Has 2 extra buttons to the left of the trackball that can be assigned to different things.

Cons:
- Can't left-click and right-click at the same time. I play a couple games that use this button combination, so I can't play them the way I used to.
- A little bit of a vertical dead zone on the rightmost edge of the trackball. The left edge is fine though, so movement is a bit uneven if you need to make large circular movements.
- It has a light that flashes to let you know what DPI you just changed to. It's off most of the time you're using the mouse. But for some reason, it turns on and stays on when the computer is shut down.

Neutral:
- Took me a while to figure out how to change the DPI. You have to hold the DPI button for ~2 seconds before it takes effect.

Overall, the cons are very minor, and the pros far outweigh them. This is a great mouse that is very comfortable to use and has helped alleviate some pain in my right arm.

Thinking about an ergonomic trackball - this is the one.

After using a Logitech M575 for a few weeks I still felt some wrist strain. This mouse immediately feels better with its ergonomic slanted position and for me allows for all-day usage. Other reviewers commented that that mouse feels too small to fit entire hand -- this mouse is not meant for that. The bottom part of your wrist contacts the desk. I do have it resting on a soft touch mouse pad (from my previous mouse) so it feels fine.

The utility software comes in handy in that it allows for button re-configuration. I personally like to have the back/forward buttons mapped the lower buttons near thumb and use the top shortcut buttons for macro functions.

The ball eject button is useful to get the ball out effortlessly for internal roller cleaning. I find I need to do that about ever 2-3 days which really not out of ordinary for any trackball mouse.

I opted for the wired version since it was a little cheaper and I only ever have it placed on my desk in same position with other wired components so I don't mind the cord and never have to deal with battery replacement.

well you would think for a 60$ wired trackball mouse they would provide a regular lengthy wire. nope..... its short. very short.
unless you use it right next to your laptop directly your out of luck.
I had to go get a usb extension cable.
so this mouse is on a more tilted angle compared to the more traditional thumb trackballs.
I do not like it. plus the scrolling wheel is not on the same angle and your fingers wants to go in a different angle when scrolling.
I just started using this today. If I change how I feel about all this ill come back and update.
long story short I wish I just ordered my usual replacement trackman wheels.
my old old logitech is a classic and sold for over 200$ used now. it beats all the new ones. not sure why its so hard to make quality products anymore. it lasted me a decade.
the other ones similar in shape last me maybe 6months to a year.
