Very interesting and recommendable book
This book is may be the most interesting book published on this field in last years. It covers many important aspects of the radiotherapy physics that is simply impossible to find in other books of this field, all of them discussed in up to day perspective.
It is and absolutely recommended book for any one working on this things. It is not an introductory book, and at the book assumes that the reader know some concepts, so for a beginner probably it is not the first book that should be study but it is the second or third (probably after 1. Radiation Physics for Medical Physicists by Ervin B. Podgorsak and 2. The Physics of Radiotherapy X-Rays And Electrons by Peter Metcalfe and Tomas Kron)
The book gives some problems at the end of each chapter solved at the end of the book; many of them direct applications of the theory. In my personal opinion the book could be improved with more and more difficult solved problems may be in a complement book.
In any case the book covers an urgent need in this field.

Patrick N. McDermott, PhD, is the director of physics education at Beaumont Health and an adjunct associate professor at Oakland University. He was previously an associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Wayne State University and a physicist at the Karmanos Cancer Institute. He is a fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and a recipient of numerous teaching awards. He earned a PhD in physics and astronomy from the University of Rochester and an MS in radiological physics from Wayne State University.
