These sand bags are life savers. I bought a set of 4, I need another set.

Before these I would grab the nearest heavy thing and try to weigh down whatever was tipping. These studio sandbags have made my life so much easier. Of course they come empty. I went to Home Depot and bought a 50 lb. bag of sand for about $5.

Each sandbag has two sides so I divided that bag of sand into gallon Ziploc bags of roughly 6.25 lbs. and put those Ziplocs into each side. You don't have to use plastic bags. I'm just a little OCD. But it's good, I have no sand on the floor.

They have handles for carrying or handling, or even attaching to a light stand if accessible. I found an assortment of bungee cords is nice to have as well in case you have to hang one as a counterweight, or attach one firmly to something.

You'll be glad you put these together.

I needed a couple of sandbags for my C-stands, and also for the mic boom stand I will be using for a podcast. These sandbags were an excellent value; instead of two bags I get four, plus six strong clamps (good for keeping my green screen taught). The bags appear to be well-made, with hefty stitching and strong velcro closures. I'm using old hardware & tools for weight right now, but will use pebbles when I have a chance to buy some. The four carabiner clips that were included are really too small to use with the bags, but even without them this is still a good value.

After reading some reviews in other product sections, I chose to use pea gravel in gallon sized ziploc bags to fill these pouches. So far, I ma happy with the apparent sturdiness of the materials used to hold the weight safely and the velcro fastenings for the pouches seal satisfyingly enough that I don't fear them falling apart during abuse.. I mean use.

I'll update if I find any changes from this initial review over time.

Sandbags are very sturdy, but clips are super cheap

The sandbags are of good quality and hold the weight just fine for sandbags. However the clips are so cheaply made. The orange clip part keeps popping off almost every time I clip it to my backdrop roll. They do clip back on, but it was super annoying to happen in front of my client. 3* rating is all for the clips, the bags are just what you'd expect, and I don't anticipate any issues.
