I purchased a Concept 2 rower and immediately knew that I needed something to help cushion the seat. For my first purchase from Amazon, I bought the Concept 2 Rower Foam Seat Pad. The rower was awesome so the seat pad from the same brand should be great too right? Nope. If you row for a half hour and your butt is killing you, then the product is not doing the job. I came back to Amazon after looking everywhere else online too and decided to try out this Skwoosh Master Row Pad. Apparently these 2 products are the only seat pads for a rowing machine. I did not find anything anywhere else on the internet at all, only ones designed for actual boats and kayak's. So, I purchased this product, removed the foam seat pad, and this really was no better. It is flat as a pancake and the small amount of gel in the butt circles does not provide enough cushioning to keep me comfortable during a rowing session. After that, I decided to make my own solution on the problem, since there were really no other options out there that I found. I put the Concept 2 Foam Pad back on the seat, and then put this Skwoosh Row Pad on top of that. Surprisingly, it actually works. I can now go through a good 30 minute rowing session without any discomfort on my bum.
My conclusion, this product alone will not keep you comfortable. The Concept 2 Foam Pad on its own will not keep you comfortable. But I decided to share my solution of using the two together in case anyone else wants to give it a try.
