This cable is pure trash. I already have several 6ft and 10ft USB-C cables that have all worked flawlessly with my Quest 2 but I wanted something a little longer for some extra space when using VR. So I ordered this cable, since It is advertised as being specifically designed to work with Oculus Link on the Quest 2. However, the cable only worked for about 5 min before it just randomly disconnected from my PC. After that, I couldn't get it to stay connected for more than 30 seconds. I tried several different ports on the computer but same issue so I switched back to the 10ft cable that came with my Xbox Elite controller and Oculus Link worked great again. I will be returning this piece of trash cable.

Simple review here, but I was torn between the overpriced $80 official Oculus Link cable and some off-brand third-party one. I went with the PartyLink one because it seemed quality and other reviewers claimed it worked with screenshots showing it was capable of data and actual Oculus Link usage.
First impression was that this cable wasn't as stiff and awkward to use as I worried it would be. I heard that the official Oculus cable is fiber optic and thinner and more flexible than any other cable out there, so I was worried the PartyLink cable was going to be stiff, thick, and...uncomfortable..hangin off my head..... *Ahem* To my delight the cable felt flexible, almost rubbery, it was long...and..as.good as I thought.it.would.be... *Ahem* ... SOON as I plugged it in my Quest 2, I tested the cable and it passed the Test Connection. The Oculus Link worked beautifully and I cannot believe HOW much more responsive and nice this is over using Virtual Desktop or even Quest 2's built-in OS. I live in an apartment complex and I get bad WiFi 5GHz interference, so Virtual Desktop doesn't work well for me with games, but the PartyLink cable works like a charm! After about 3 hours of having the delight of experiencing Minecraft in trippy VR and jaw-dropping visuals in Google Earth VR, my battery was at 87%. Didn't keep it topped off, but if you were to stay immersed in VR longer than this, I would think there is something wrong with your brain. So, battery life on the Quest 2 headset with this cable is good enough, if not better than I was expecting!
Seriously DON'T waste your money and buy Facebook's overpriced cable and just get this! What's the risk? If it doesn't work for you, just return it and spend the extra $50 for the official one. :)
Good: Due to my set up, the cable was subjected to being run over by my chair. Not even a dent, sturdy in that regard.
Worked well for about 2 weeks, and would have been fine if I used it for NO ACTIVE GAMES such as tetris effects, vr chat casual servers, or other non moving/sitting games.
With a full charge I got about 6-7 hours of play time while plugged in. A good upgrade, and enough for me to never need to stop playing because of battery.
Bad:
I received this product twice, the first time, on the second day as I was unplugging everything for storage the metal bit came out of the end connected to the computer. Luckily I was running it through an adapter so removal of the piece wasn't too bad but I worry about how deep it would have been lodged if I wasn't using an adapter. Every piece on amazon is subject to breaking occasionally so I didn't think too much of it and got a replacement through amazon's simple replacement system.
The second time everything went well for about 2 weeks. I was able to use it for fun games such as Swords of Gurrah and Crazy Kung Fu. Both games are full room support, moving around, punching and ducking. All of which the cable handled well. For about 2 weeks. It started with a disconnect while chilling in a vr chat world. The first time my oculus link disconnected. I wasn't doing anything major. A minor hiccup, but gradually over 4 days it got more frequent, until I couldn't complete a single 2 minute spar in my kung fu game.
Good for the price if you plan on not being active with it, I'm sure my frequent use with active games made it decay really quickly. I suppose you get what you paid for.
Purchased for linking Oculus Quest 2. At first I thought I received a bad pci 3.1 usb card so I returned it. (Because I've never received a bad usb cable before) I bought a different brand and got the exact same results (I've since deleted my negative review of the original card). This cable looks and feels like a quality piece, but I couldn't manage to sustain more than usb 2 speeds of around 360Mbps out of it. Far below what's needed to make link work. I tried mtiple orientations, multiple drivers, and multiple pci cards. I was able to get 1.8 Gbps once or twice, but as soon as I tried using the connection, it would fail. Sometimes the usb speed test in the oculus app would say "not connected " and I would have to disconnect and reconnect the cable to make it work.
The cable works perfectly with the Oculus Quest 2. The link shows up as a USB 3 link. I got this just two days ago, but have put in a few hours and haven't had any issues.
This cable comes with two Velcro straps. I used one for the PC end and one on the headset to prevent cable tugging.
The cable is pretty thick. The only thin cable I know of is the official Oculus Link cable, but for the price difference I think that's fair.
