Good padding on the forward and rear portions. The ratcheting system seems to be strong and secure. I wish the mounting points could be a bit further forward to bring the facial interface on the oculus closer to the face. It maxes out due to how it attaches. You can tighten the system down fairly well as to achieve no shift even with quick movements. It seems the rear band needs to sit fairly low on the back of the head to create a good snug fit. Can create discomfort if worn for long periods but I imagine this will vary from person to person. It is possible to have hair get stuck in the pivot points on either side.

Will update if the unit shows any points of failure.

Aside from this strap being very comfortable and quality built, I have to really hammer on the fact that it easily allowed me to add a set of earbuds and a power pack without using much more than a small strip of velcro and some mounting tape. The removeable forehead padding pulled forward and allowed me to tuck all the extra wiring in place and put the padding back. Added a couple of magnetic USB charging ports and it's a couple of seconds to grab the unit, plop it on my head and plug in the headphones for hours and hours of play without wires.
