When I first opened the box for this cable I was surprised at how sturdy it seemed. The connectors have molded-on strain relief boots and cable itself is roughly 3/8" wide. Being used to the skinny cables that come with Apple products, it was a very nice surprise.
The cable performed as advertised with a USB-C SSD as well as a Thunderbolt 3 connected monitor.If I encounter any issues with the cable in the future I'll update this review, but I really don't expect any. In my experience most cable issues result from wear and tear, which I don't see as a potential issue here, plus the cable has a lifetime warranty, so the manufacturer obviously has confidence in it too.

Observations: The UNITEK case is USB-C 3.1 Gen 2. SEKC claims 1700/1000 MB/s (read/write). The UNITEK clocked 800/800 MB/s (read/write) via the USB-C 3.1 port on Dell XPS 8920's built-in port, and 1.0GB/s to the LTERIVER PCI-E card.
Recommendations: Your overall transfer speed will only be as fast as the slowest component; in this case this cable performed the same as 12" cable.
Pros: good fit & finish; heavy duty construction, thick jacket.
Cons: None.
Conclusion: At $26 rating this one 5-stars, pricing is comparable to similar offerings.
