The light is bright enough and the battery lasts for a decent 6-7 hours so long as you don't use the brightest, steady modes which I don't tend to.
The strap has worked fine all these 11 months I've had it. Mounting and dismounting is easy so long as I first slip it onto the thinner, tapered end of the handlebar and my fingers aren't too cold.
My main beef with the Dayblazer 1000 is the clear, rubbery button on top which displays approximately much battery remains and - critically important - allows you to cycle through its 5 modes and turn it off. I'm not sure if it melted slightly after being left in the summer sun too long or if I've put too much pressure with my thumb while attempting to operate the unit but about 3/4 of its shape appears as if it was cut around like a cut-out and renders it very difficult to use. I'll update this review with a pic later and try reaching out to Blackburn customer service to see what they say about this.
