I have a 2006 BMW 330i E90 pre-LCI model. My rabbit hole repair all began with wanting to replace my starter which involved removing quite a bit of stuff (ie. intake manifold, airbox, shrouds, etc.), and all along I decided to start also replacing gaskets, hoses, whatever I felt I didn't want to redo in the future. That's when I came across this Disa Valve. When I took it off and inspected it, mine was already broken! So I was thinking omg this part gotta be expensive! The OEM ones were 10x more than this one bought aftermarket from Amazon. I figured I'll give it a shot, plus I needed that Prime next day shipping too and at $40 and seeing that if it doesn't work, it's not so bad of a repair again to removed it and put another one on. Amazon delivered as promised the next day, I greeted the driver, opened the box, immediately put the Disa Valve on, and continued on to assemble my car back together. Once it was ready for a test drive, I immediately noticed a big, HUGE, difference in performance. I got my low end torque back (so the new DISA Valve is working!), and the engine is peppy and snappy like a new car! In short, I am super happy til this day....after say 1000 miles later of spirited driving.

Holes are off. UPDATE!

At first glance, product has a lot of uneven surfaces on the cover. I don’t know from sanding maybe. What I’m more concerned about are the holes. They are not aligned properly when screws are attempted to put in place. They are all off. Screws hit the surface. As a result, the plastic covering started to warp from screwing the screws.

I couldn’t use the part. If I force the screws in, it’s more than likely going to shatter into pieces from the tension of the screws and vibration of the engine.

Worst part is, this is non-returnable. There goes my money out the window. Not worth buying. Wasted my time and money.

The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because flapper actually worked when tested. Overall, poor workmanship. Poor quality.

UPDATE: Spoke with the vendor and addressed the concerns I had about the product and specific details why I couldn’t use it. Although the communication was in a form of an email, I was really pleased by the responses and professionalism they have provided. As a result, I’m changing the stars from 2 to 3.

Hopefully, the feedback I have provided will improve the product’s quality.

Keep up the good work. I’m sure you’ll do better.
