As someone who has always been fascinated by astronomy, cosmology, space travel and time travel for 7 decades, whenever I see a new book or article on these topics I usually try to read it. I recently saw this interesting 178 page soft cover book (Time Shifts: Experiences of slipping into past and future by Von Braschler) on Amazon and purchased it.
I just finished reading it and even though I had read many of these time shift stories in the past; nevertheless, for the most part I found this book to be a unique and informative read. Some of the material this book covers includes the following:
Little sidesteps out of time, classic stories of time shifts, possible explanations for time slips, one confused twelve-year old boy, walking through time down main street, in a dark room, a brother and sister reunion, lucid dreaming, the East’s approach to time travel, the Shamanic experience of time travel, moving the light, some practical personal exercises and other topics.
If you are interested in the mystery of time travel and time shifts people have had, you should check out this interesting book.
Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: The Mighty Pen: Your self-defense friend).

• Shares detailed accounts from people who have experienced time slips, including the author’s own experiences, as well as the practices of shamans, yoga masters, and Samadhi mystics who use trance-like meditative states to travel outside normal space and time
• Offers step-by-step exercises to prepare you to experience time shifts, to help set them up, and to enhance the experience when you have slipped through time
• Examines criticisms of and scientific support for this phenomenon, debunking claims that time slips are delusions or remembrances of past lives and showing that they may be related to energy vortices, black holes, or astral travel
Every now and then somebody reports stepping out of normal time and space. It doesn’t seem to matter where they live or their background--the veil of ordinary reality drops and they suddenly slip into the past or future, usually seamlessly and unknowingly, experiencing a temporary and accidental form of time travel.
Sharing detailed accounts from people who have experienced time slips and shifts between realities, including his own experiences, Von Braschler examines what their stories have in common to establish the pattern behind how these sudden slips in time occur. He examines criticisms of and scientific support for this phenomenon, debunking claims that time slips are delusions, implanted memories, or remembrances of past lives and showing that they may be related to energy vortices, tears in the fabric of our reality, black holes, astral travel, or light body movements. Studying reliable models from both the West and the East, he compares these excursions with shamanic journeying and the practices of yoga masters and Samadhi mystics, who use trance-like meditative states to travel outside normal space and time. Exploring the work of Einstein and other physicists, the author also examines the different speed with which time passes in ordinary reality and during time shifts--people will find that only a few minutes has elapsed for a time-shift experience that appeared to take hours.
Offering step-by-step exercises to prepare you to experience time shifts, to help set them up, and to enhance the experience when you have slipped through time, the author provides a road map allowing anyone to explore shifts in time and space and expand their awareness beyond ordinary reality.

So far, so great, but I took one star off because upon arrival, yesterday, the book itself smelled like it had sat in a box of laundry
detergent for a month or more. Big turnoff!! Now however, the detergent smell seems to be wearing off. It makes me wonder, where indeed, or what indeed is placed next to the books Readers order. Hmmm!!!
As to the subject matter of Time Slips, I'm really enjoying it! The adventure of Larry and Claire, somewhere in southwestern Missouri,
made me gasp..and then laugh..as in, "This is exactly what I hope to read more of!" and "This is kinda.. spooky... I love it!"
I enjoy having my mind boggled from time to time. And, thanks to Larry and Claire's adventure, I was prompted to order this book.

Intriguing, mind-bending book about time

Von presents an intriguing, provocative book about time shifts, sharing personal and archival instances where hours seemingly drift and slip out of what is our otherwise linear perception of the world. His chapters cite a variety of shamanic and other belief systems, while his tips on meditation and astral projection are useful guides to become more open-minded to exploring time and space in new ways outside the norm.

A fascinating look into the nature of time. Brasher examines scientific theory, astral travel, the mystics, shamanism (and more) in this investigation. I particularly enjoyed the various examples of time shifts experienced by both the author and others. This work has helped me open into new thought concerning reality.

Simply another book about guided meditation

The 1st chapter seems to be the only part of the book that was "as advertised"... After that it is simply about guided meditation... I see where one person on here made a crack about me not having read the whole book... I did... I also notice he was not a verified buyer of this book... I was....
