Does not dissolve... ever.

I purchased this because my normal brand was out of stock (So Nourished Monk Fruit sweetener) and I just can't keep paying the killer prices on Lakanto. I saw the price of this one and thought I'd give it a try. At 19$ for a 3 lb bag, it seemed like a steal considering I'd been paying twice that for other brands. The first thing I used it in was to sweeten my tea. I have a 24 oz water tumbler and I use fresh brewed tea in it. I added the usual amount that I would use of the other brand and stirred it the normal amount of time then took a sip. Absolutely no sweetness at all. It was like I never put anything in the drink. So I assumed it was because it was cheaper so I added more. After stirring it around for nearly 5 minutes, I set it down to answer a phone call. When I got back, I picked it up and took a sip without mixing it. All the granules had sunk to the bottom of the tumbler and I got a mouthful of un-dissolved sweetener from my straw. I took a sip from the top of the tumbler and no sweetness at all. I went back to stirring but this time I would stop and use a spoon to lift some of the liquid out, this went on for about 20 minutes. Every time, there was un-dissolved granules in the spoon. Seriously? After a half hour it still hadn't dissolved? I am going to put it in a coffee grinder and turn it into powdered sweetener and see if it dissolves then. There's something wrong with this product. If grinding it fixes the issue, I'll update but otherwise, don't waste your money.

Much better than I thought... Would buy again

I'm a Lakanto fan and I'll always purchase Lakanto Golden in the 3 pound bag but it's not cheap and I use it to replace sugar in almost everything so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. If you look at the nutrition facts, you can tell it has more ethyritol than Lakanto which I thought might be and issue but so far, no weird taste, just a clean sweet taste with none of the "cooling effect" that many say they experience when a monk fruit product has too much ethyritol. Before I purchased the 3 pound bag, I purchased the little canister for around 7 bucks just to see what it's like. Then I bought the 3 pound bag and I am able to stretch my Lankanto Golden monk fruit by mixing half of each into that little canister. It is fine by itself but even better mixed because you get a little of that brown sugar goodness from the Lankanto Golden. This is what I keep at my Keurig for hot beverages. Satisfied.

monk fruit extract is the only non-real sugar sweetener I like. I don't even like Stevia. When searching for monk fruit extract you have to be careful that it does not contain too much erythritol or the flavor is not good. This one has a good ratio of both.

Used in cheesecake recipe with equal parts granulated sugar. This sweetener rose to the top of the cake and did not dissolve. Left a crunchy layer of sugar granules I could've done without and a slight aftertaste. I'm glad I didn't only use this sweetener or there would've been sugar granules throughout the entire cake. Never had this problem with Latanko. I noticed right away that the texture of this one is different from Latanko. Sorry I bought a 3 lb. bag. Stick to the artificial sweetener Splenda. This is an epic failure.

Beware! Can Cause Abdominal Issues!

The erithritol added to make it measure like sugar is not something that my body can tolerate. I had severe abdominal issues and dehydration after using this Splenda Mink Fruit Sweetner in tea. It took a lot of research to find the cause as I had changed my diet recently. My reaction was similar to a “colonoscopy clean out” that lasted for 3 days. I am going to use pure monk fruit instead of a combination from now on.
