I am a petite (under 5'1 and 110lbs) woman and the watch is not nearly as big and cumbersome as I feared. It is a smart watch though, and a rugged one at that, so it has some bulk compared to normal watches, but nothing distracting and it's light as can be. I will say, the seafoam blue color is a much brighter blue than the slate blue pictured, but I like it just as well. I've spent the last half a day playing with this thing and I am obsessed. It has too many features to go in to them all, but the activity tracking, altimeter, compass, gps, weather, notification viewer, music controls, and heart rate monitor are my favorites so far. It let's you customize the watch face to highlight the information most important to you as well as customize your most frequent activities for quick recording. This bad boy isn't just for the big burly man, so happy I went with it!

1. GPS says sea level is 45 ft, while I was walking on the beach at Daytona Beach. This is after "calibrating" 3 times.
2. watch locked up in the middle of recording an activity.
3. watch won't re-start, stuck at the GARMIN logo.
Returning the product.
This is the second Garmin watch I had, that has failed. The first one, for Forerunner, lasted about 1 year and the buttons stopped working. This one, less than 40 days - failed.
NEVER buying another Garmin product again. Going to an Apple Watch.

As a female I see more reviews on this watch from males so I wanted to leave a review for any female considering getting it. DO IT! I was worried it was going to be big and bulky but it’s not and it’s very comfortable to sleep with it on. I didn’t need anything super fancy since I am avidly outdoors. This was covers all the needs for that. I’ve tested it hiking and running and it’s pretty accurate. I did get my husband one as well and when we hiked together it was very accurate with each other’s aside from stairs climbed. I’m not too sure he was wearing his very great though (rather lose) I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for something to track outdoor activities but doesn’t need all the fancy frills. I also couldn’t ever find great pictures of what the color really looked like (you never know) but the lakeside blue photo off garmin’s website was true to color. It’s beautiful
