Software Update

Update your Suunto 9 with 3 easy steps:

1. Download and install Suuntolink- After the download, install the software by double clicking the downloaded file.

2. Connect your watch to your computer with the provided USB cable. SuuntoLink opens automatically after the watch has been connected.

3. Connect to the SUUNTO APP- select Connect to Movescount account or sign up if you don´t have an account yet. After connecting to the Sunnto APP, SuuntoLink transfers your Moves and keeps your watch software up to date.

Intelligent Battery

With multiple battery modes the Suunto 9 can fit your activity needs. If your training session goes longer than planned, the watch will recommend to change the battery mode in order to conserve power.

4 battery modes ranging from 25 hours to 120 hours:

Performance mode: 25 hrs providing you maximum information for your records, with the best possible GPS tracking.

Endurance mode: 50 hrs providing good GPS tracking, perfect for long distances and multiple training sessions.

Ultra-mode: 120 hrs providing decent GPS tracking. Perfect for weekend excursions or multi-day training sessions.

Custom mode: Varying times based on the options selected. Perfect for displaying only the desired information.

Wrist heart rate

The Suunto 9 uses Valencell developed technology for optical heart rate monitoring. Valencell is one of the leading innovators in portable biometric data sensing. On the underside of the watch placed LEDs, provided with optical heart rate sensors, light on the skin of the wrist. The light scattered by the blood flow is measured by the sensor. Light which penetrates into the body is predictably scattered according to the dynamics of the blood flow, such as, for example, changes in the pulse or in the blood volume (cardiac output).

Altimeter

Suunto 9 models without barometers provide altitude indications only from GPS and cannot provide information on the outdoor environment.

Suunto App is a bold step forward, offering you great training insights and social features ensuring to keep you motivated. Keep track of your daily activities and work outs. Plan your routes, show activity maps, and calculate your overall speed and distance. With its advanced technology you can monitor your sleep patterns and overall fitness levels.

GPS

When on extremely long runs the FUSEDTRACK assisted tracking system comes into play. Using specifically designed movement sensors combined with the GPS system, you can receive data with improved accuracy even when the GPS system is set to 60 second intervals.

Go to the edge of the earth with new locations with integrated navigation routes and sport specific heatmaps, letting you go to new places without the fear of getting lost.
