I'm sure the cable works fine if your one of the few people that has a USB-C port on their PC. Unfortunately I assumed it would come with a USB-C to USB-A adapter for the other 90% of VR gamers that don't have a brand new motherboards. So I'll havta buy some adapters that claim to be 3.1 and hope for the best since most of them will probably be scams. Oculus really screwed me over on this.
The product is actually fine, it does what it says on the tin, but the usb connection is smaller than I expected it to be. I don’t know if all computers have this port, but if you do, be very careful. The inevitable movement can cause the plug on the computer end to bend and snap off like cheap garbage. If you’re going to use this, make sure it’s secured. Tie it to the leg of your computer table or something. My port was in the back, and moving around caused it to snap off in less than two weeks of use. Monumental waste of money, if you’re not careful.
In short I'm very pleased I chose the official hardware over the cheaper alternatives.
I received my Official Oculus Link cable extremely quickly with my prime membership. The product feels well made and has a nice tactile feel to it. The packaging had a very expensive feel that was on par with the quality of the product inside. For an outrageously priced cable it seems the manufacturer didn't want the product to appear cheap in any way.
Pros: - Shipped fast - High Quality Materials - Exactly as described, USB-C to C cable Cons: - Excessively packaged, leaving the impression I probably paid for the box it came in. - No bag or clip to keep the cable when not in use
2.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星Great for 31 days. Word still out on customer service

Update: A week after the limit for returning the cable with Amazon it failed. I suspect the straight connection. Treated gently and it is not a system issue, as my PartyLine 10’ continues to chug along. I have been going back and forth with Oculus support as they troubleshoot the issue, but it is taking a lot of time and after the first wave, most of the directions became hard to see as relevant to the issue. When I questioned the process I stopped hearing from that person. After a week or so I had to start a second ticket because the first one was somehow closed. Feel free to interpret that as you will. Another two rounds of partially relevant requests and I finally got an RMA. I am now about another week or so away from getting a replacement because mine has to get to the warehouse before they will send another. Long process and not user friendly. Glad I have a backup cable from another company. Depending on your needs and patience level, I would recommend buying from a place like Best Buy where you can buy into their warranty and limit dealing with Oculus support. The process for me was a marketing person’s headache. All that drama for an overpriced cable that clearly failed. All relevant info was presented after the first exchange of emails. For Reference, first email to support was on 7 Sep. and it is now 10 Oct. will update once new cable shows up. Grips aside, when it works it is/was great. Mileage may vary. Leaving the 2 star for the moment. Will climb to 3 if I get a working cable and will consider another bump if it lasts a few months.
Original: I have been using a 10’ usb-c to usb-c from another company since the link became an option due to the high cost and limited supply of the official cable, but decided to cough up the money to get more range. I spend more time on Steam VR games than on Occulus titles, so the link is regularly used. My experience is on day one. Love the extra length, cable is solid, and data seems faster. Yes it should have an adapter and yes it still feels overpriced, but it works great.
I really don’t get low reviews from people who can’t read the description or comprehend pictures. It is usb-c to usb-c. That is it. That and a clip for the side to guide the cable down the strap is all you get. Nobody else at this time puts out a cable that will do all this one does at the same time. On a normal day I would give this a 4 of 5 because of the cost, but too many low ratings for reasons that are weak, so have given it a compensatory 5. This works, will see how it lasts.
I asked this question on June 30 before purchasing and this is the answer I received. Question:Can you plug this into a wall plug adapter and charge the quest? Answer:Hey, using the Link cable with the included power adapter would work for charging. By Oculus Support MANUFACTURER on June 30, 2020. It does not come with a power adapter.
