I was skeptical about buying this for my Switch when I saw other people claiming it is hard to snap into the dock with it on. I watched Youtube videos about this before my purchase. I have no issue getting this in or out of the dock. Sure the Switch slides in a bit easier without it on but I still have no issue and neither does my 8 year old son. The only issue I get is I put the system in a bit off centered sometimes and it doesn't meet the charge port. But that can happen without a case. When taking thew system on and off the dock with this case it just feels a bit more snug. As far as the case itself well......
Pros:
-Looks frikkin awesome
-Feels great (better than holding just the switch)
-Joycons slide in and out of the case without removal of the case
-Solid build and high quality

Cons:
- It blocks the kickstand (which is a piece of crap anyway)

All in all its great. You can buy a more reliable kickstand for it and just dock the system with this case on it. Amazon Basics has a good one. I also recommend the Mumba Pro carrying case for this. It fits in great with the case on it as well as games, a kickstand and a charger.

I ordered the purple, it is not the vibrant color seen in the pictures it is a pale pinkish purple. While I can squeeze my switch into the dock with the case on the switch does not make proper contact to charge while docked with the case on. So color not as advertised and function not as advertised. I am disappointed but don't feel like the hassle of sending it back. The grips feel ok and I made compromises there for the advertised ability to allow docking without removal but for me that has been false. Get something a little better if you were looking for a dockable case with grips.

Stylish, Sturdy, and St-functional

If you're like me and use the Switch exclusively in handheld/undocked mode, a Switch case that can be docked with is enough to sell me on it. This case does exactly that and more. It's a one piece case which is exactly what I wanted because hundreds of hours holding the Switch up by the Joycons has me concerned about the lifespan of the rails. This case holds it all together to take the strain off of the controllers and makes the whole unit feel more solid. The case's thicker, rounded, and textured grips also help to lessen the strain on your hands too. The case also looks stylish compared to other cases. The docking process is easy. The switch slides right in with the case, but stops just short of bottom. Not a problem, just give it an easy push down and the Switch will dock completely and start charging. The only negative is the case does block the kickstand, but if you play handheld most of the time you won't miss it.

NOT "DOCK FRIENDLY"!!!

This is NOT dock-able, or "dock friendly". I bought this thinking I wouldn't have to take it off when I docked it but that's not the case. I tried in several different docks and it didn't fit AT ALL. Also the pictures show a very vivid color but it's actually much lighter. I got the purple one and it looks almost pink. The grips are ok, but I wouldn't buy this just for that because there are too many better ones out there. I think I'm going to return this for my refund.
