This was definitely a good purchase! One of my favorite controllers of all-time was the Sega Saturn controllers (Model 2 in USA) due to the precision of the D-pad for fighting and 2D games...so picking up this Retrobit version was no brainer. Given this is an officially-licensed from SEGA, the build quality seems on-par with the original mid-1990’s build and was able to pull off my favorite special moves and combos effortlessly in my 2D brawler games like Street Fighter Collection, Beat em Up Collection, Sega Classics, etc.
BTW, I previously had the 8BitDo M30 controller which was like a hybrid-cross between the Sega Genesis and Saturn. But the “design” just didn’t feel right.
— Build quality
— Precise D-pad and buttons
— A/B button swaps + X-inputs
— Vibration is a nice added feature
— Tad bit heavier than original mid-1990s controller due to new inner wireless parts/vibration motor...felt original was too light
— No lag
— Not compatible with PS4 (...would’ve been perfect for Street Fighter V)
— Vibration is a teeny-tiny tad too strong
— Charges via Micro-USB (...should be USB-C)
