I compared the Vandoren soprano mouthpiece to the Selmer concept and chedville mp's.This was on a yanagisawa
SW03 silver sax, a 2 med.select jazz reed and a Rico H ligature.The SP3 was much better in the altissimo range and more freely blowing with a nice sound,. The Chedeville had a more classic sound.The sp3 and concept could both play jazz and classical music.I wouldn't recommend any of these if you want a mp which is brighter with good projection.For all around versatility I favored the SP3 which is quite an improvement over the previous Vandoren model.
