I'm unsure why this product is revered so highly. At a price of ~$90 for this product and $110 for the mainstream one, it's quite overpriced. People in both product reviews on Amazon complain about the packaging and instructions. I don't see a problem with either and frankly think that those people probably did not even use the product.2021年7月7日 在美国审核
The Upright Go 2 is a noticable improvement from the original Upright Go, but still has most of the same drawbacks as the original.
PROS
- It does what people want the product to do, namely it helps with posture correction by making the wearer more conscious of their posture while wearing it.
- The product itself is faily comfortable to wear. I have accidently went to sleep with it have never have any problems with weight or size.
- The Go 2 is a fundamental change from tranditional posture trainers. Traditional trainers are vests worn to force the wearer to straighten up. They do not work as they create a reliance on the vest. From a few weeks of wearing it, I have noticed that I mentally check myself every-so-often even if I'm not wearing it.
- Vibrations are noticable even at medium strength (out of Gentle, Medium, Strong options).
- Provided adhesives do what they claim and each of mine has lasted on average 6 times on-off.
- Battery life is phenomenal. Although I never get the claimed 40 hours, I have consistently lasted 25 hours on a single charge.
CONS
- The biggest con by far in my opinion is that it does not REALLY help with slouching. At its core it is just a gyroscope (senses tilting). This may help if your upper back is slouching forward (like the woman at the bottom of image 2) or your neck leans forward but if it will not detect if you slump in your seat or other situations where your upper back is still upright but your overall position is still slouching. The product desperately needs a motion sensor and maybe an altimeter (senses altitude) and accelerometer (senses acceleration).
- App is completely half-donkeyed. The app does not display properly almost half the time I open it (seen on image 2). There are VERY few controls and the default controls are barely sufficient at best. There is no real customizability so if the default options are not suitable, then tough luck. There are only a few predefined options of how much of an angle the product has to be tilted for it to vibrate. If you need a custom angle then tough luck. There are only 3 options for vibration intensity; Gentle, Medium, Strong. Medium and Strong can clearly be heard in a quiet room. Medium sounds like a phone vibrating and Gentle is just a slight tickle that can easily go unnoticed. Having a slider for adjustability is what it really needs. Countdown for vibration is also barely adjustable. The list goes on and on. Overall the app is unreliable with minimal features and offers very little fine-tuning.
- The case is inadequate. The case itself is made of a shiny plastic that gets scratched EXTREMELY easily. Denting it is not hard. The hinge of the case makes the top and bottom portion shake and misalign during closing and does not make you feel like you're holding a premium product. The plastic makes the case collect dirt easily (see image 1). The top portion carries an extra adhesive which is a very useful feature, but the adhesives they provide do not seem to stay on tightly. The case design overally just looks cheap, feels cheap, and has poor build quality.
- The single button on the device is used to do everything. This can be embarrassing for people to have to grab at their back every time they want to turn off/on the device or do other things with it instead of going through the app (turning on/off is through the physical button only).
- CONSTANT recallibration. Changing between standing and sitting position or literally any change of task/position requires opening the app and recallibrating. What will happen if you callibrate it for an upright sitting position? Want to stand? BUZZ. Want to lean over the the toilet, playing an instrument, doing running/sports, writing? BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ.
- Adhesive is not meant for active people. Sweat considerably decreases the lifetime of the adhesive. I would highly recommend not wearing the adhesives when sweating at all costs. Especially with the price tag.
- Given adhesive is pretty expensive. They feel premium and can be used a good number of times, but I still think they should lower the price by a few dollars to become a good deal. Buy skin tape instead.
- It requires Location Services, aka GPS. This is an odd requirement and drains your phone battery. I don't even get through the day without at least a partial recharge when normally I would end the day with a solid 30%. Part of this probably has to do with the fact that I have to keep using my phone to recallibrate it.
- This is not a one-time purchase. It requires periodicically buying adhesives.
At the end of the day it does what it was created for; It helps straighten someone's back without causing a reliance on the product. Everything else about it is pretty subpar, however. It is unfortunate that this is the best of the other products offered in this category and I hope that all cons are fixed soon to make the product worthy of its star rating. The product really feels like it was in beta version when it was released. Having a straight back has inarguably many health benefits, but the product itself is crude and needs improvement, to say the least.
Who this is for:
This product is for people who do not want to use a vest and who does not mind the inconveniencese this product causes. Namely shorter battery life, constant recallibration, buggy app, barely any setting customizability, periodically buying adhesives.
