Put this on the inside of my RV awning yesterday. It was difficult to pull strips from the roll as it was quite sticky. I thought because of this it would do a great job sticking to the vinyl. Three hours later, pieces are coming loose. I pressed them back on and went back to all patches and firmly pressed them. This morning I have multiple pieces coming loose. This product appears to be a waste of money. There are no specific directions with tips or advice on installing this online or with the package, so if I did something wrong I would not know it. Update, three days later most strips have fallen off.

Nothing says "tender loving hands at home" (cheap) like a shiny tape on a flat mat finished awning. After a through cleaning, the tape does not stick well so tears are not mended. Second try is tape the underside that has not been weathered. Sticks better but still not well enough. Will be experimenting with products like Shoe Goo, and silicone products with a non-shiny finish to dress the tears on the topside with the tape on the underside to possibly better bond at the tears.

For whatever reason, the tape went on showing a good bond with the canopy canvas material and it completely came off after some six hours? Temperature was in low 70’s with humidity around 60% and little wind. Replaced with regular duct tape and it’s still on after four days?

This tape seemed to stick to the tarp really well. But, after 2 days, the tape peeled away from the tarp. It stretches fairly well, but that really just makes it harder to get to actually unroll and adhere properly. I had high hopes, but it was severely disappointing.

All-in-all, this is definitely not worth the money. I think regular packer's tape will work better.

After Cleaning awning, tape still unrolled

I cleaned my awning with 303 vinyl cleaner. Then on a 75 degree, dry day, laid down the tape end-to-end wrapping the tape under the awning almost 8 inches. Within 2 weeks the tape edge started curling and within 2 months it was curling all the way across the 20' awning. I had high hopes for this fix but it failed me. Guess I'm buying a new awning. Sigh.
