GameCube style controllers are widely considered the preferred way to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Pull off precise attacks using octagonal gated sticks, larger A button, and nostalgic muscle memory on this officially licensed Bluetooth wireless controller for Nintendo Switch featuring Pikachu. The original GameCube design has been improved with larger shoulder buttons and D-pad, plus added left shoulder and system buttons for compatibility across all Nintendo Switch games. Enjoy up to 30 hours of game-play with new alkaline batteries or add your own rechargeable batteries. Can be used when Nintendo Switch is docked or undocked. Does not support HD rumble, IR, or Amiibo NFC Other variables affect play-time.
2.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星An amazing concept with very poor execution.

Despite my initial 2 star rating I really do love this controller. However, this controller has some glaring flaws that really need to be taken into consideration before you purchase.
The good?: ·It's recognized by the system as a pro controller instead of a GameCube controller, and has all the extra buttons you need to use it with any game on the switch! ·Same motion control functionality as a pro controller. ·Feels perfect in the hands, just the right amount of weight. ·Face buttons and joysticks feel identical to the original. ·Much better d-pad compared to the original GameCube controller!
The really bad: ·This is the big one. Triggers are not analog, and despite the item descriptions claim at being the best option for smash, the lack of analog simply makes this controller obsolete when it comes to playing smash seriously(very dissapointing, PowerA!) ·Non rechargable batteries in 2018? I could live without it IF it had analog triggers, but this just feels like excessive corner cutting. ·Zero rumble functionality on a $50 controller, again it's 2018 guys. ·Lack of built in battery means no USB port for any PC use, unlike the regular pro controller(not massive but still!)
Is it terrible? No. Is it worth the $50 price tag? No.
This is a seriously missed opportunity that just fails due to poor design choices likely in favor of cutting corners. I would honestly give this 5 stars if it had analog triggers and just ignore all the other flaws, but without them this barely justifies being worth half it's retail price(likely due to it being officially licensed, the price of that is pushed onto you.)
I would honestly pay upwards of $100 for a proper functioning GameCube styled controller updated for a modern era, but this just isn't it.

4.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星TO ALL THOSE OUT THERE WONDERING WHY THEY CAN'T CHANGE THE CONTROLS ON SMASH, PLEASE READ
First off, to those out there who are struggling with their controller setups on smash ultimate, this controller falls under the pro-controller/joy-con setup. You DO NOT use the gamecube controller setup to change the controls for this controller. On the control setup screen, there's a "in use" bubble over which controller scheme you are using. I hope this saves some anguish for some.
That being said, I like this controller! It feels pretty similar to the regular gamecube controller, while heavier at the same time! Works pretty well with ultimate, and its nice to have a controller that feels like a gamecube controller, but is useable in other switch games!
I only have a few gripes with this controller 1. HD rumble/rumble support would have been nice. I personally don't care much for an NFC reader/writer, but Idk, it just felt nice having rumble. 2. Batteries. Not a huge issue if you have rechargeable ones (which aren't too expensive), but it would have been nice. 3. The ZR trigger feels...off for some reason. It's harder to click into compared to the ZL trigger. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice not to have this issue.

This feels like a decent controller and I was excited to play some smash bros on it. I received the game today and started it up only to find that the main joystick constantly drifted upwards. I opened up the controller calibration settings and as my picture shows, it is definitely off and it cannot be recalibrated. I will be exchanging it for another and hopefully the next one will not have the same issue.

2.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星Noticeable comfort difference between this and a GameCube controller
The shoulder buttons, analog and Z, feel completely different from the GameCube controller. The way this controller feels in your hand is considerably worse than the GameCube controller. The Y button protrudes extensively out of the controller as do the Z buttons. The shoulder buttons feel smaller and everything feels cramped. The buttons on the face of the controller feel fine when they click down. The analog sticks feel fine. The d-pad feels a little imprecise but it might be fine.
The feel of this controller just doesn’t feel like a GameCube controller. I spent a lot of time watching reviews of this controller and everyone said that it feels genuine, so I was surprised when I got it in my hand. I’ll see how it feels with Smash.

I was excited to get this, reviewers raved of a first party feel... Not the case with this one at all, there seems to be a lack of quality control, the buttons feel loose and there is a noticeable rattle. Pretty sure there is internal damage. It really feels like it fell apart already. Not sure if mine is a lone instance of manufacturing issues, but this controller is junk!!! Smash brothers release is just around the corner, this should not be the sidearm that you take into battle.
