Tons of fun, must use the guide to setup! Not all hotwheels cars work well with this track. The very lite cars trend to fly off. The heavy ones don't complete the track. The table 4 footprint is 5x5. So you'll need more like a 7x7+ space for playtime.

Fun, but difficult to use

The toy is not to difficult to assemble if you follow the directions. (Note: this is not a toy you can immediately play with. The command strips have to have time to adhere to the wall.) it also takes up a lot of room. You can disassemble for storage though.

My main criticism is that it’s hard for little kids to hit the launch pad hard enough to Accelerate the car at a rate where it doesn’t just fall down or go flying off the track. It’s frustrating to only get your car to work one out of ten tries. You can also only use very specific cars with it. Even the car that comes with it doesn’t work well. My son has a vast collection of cars and we found two that can complete the track.

Finally, it doesn’t connect well to other tracks. The structure holding the loop is too light weight. When the car comes around it to complete the loop it wobbles to much to allow for a smooth connection between it and the next track. We have the hot wheels criss cross crash, and have only once been able to get a car to transition smoothly onto its track.

Overall, it’s still a fun product. We have a good time with it, but I think it’s a bit overpriced considering all the cons that come with it.

3M Command Strips, not a good idea but son loves this though

The 3M command strips, we followed the directions, pressed hard on them for 30 seconds, then waited an hour just like the directions said. Most fell off taking my paint upon assembling it. We ended up having to tack on the 3M strips so not sure how much longer this track will last. You all should have drilled holes in the wall parts that gives parents the option to either screw into the wall or use the 3M strips. Second complaint, other hot wheel cars do not work so son was upset with that. I have no idea if you can purchase more cars for this track or not. Third, it does take up a lot of room (approx. 5 ft of floor space). We had to shift things around in my son’s room to make it fit. Overall my 6 year old likes it and is happy, just very frustrating that I spent so much money on this and had issues upon assembly and now once we actually take it down, I have to pay to get this part of my wall repainted.

The box has “Hot Wheels” printed on the outside, but it is plain text. This is also how I found out my son is learning to read-“mom why does that box say hot wheels?- so I got a kick out of that. We knew we were in for it when the instruction sheet was taller than my son, but his dad reported they were easy to follow and he didn’t scream any obscenities during assembly.

The pictures are to scale, we didn’t think it would be THAT big but it is and it is awesome. My son loves this addition to his Hot Wheels city, and we just take the non-anchored portions off at night so he doesn’t fall over it since it is in his bedroom versus a playroom or something. I cannot believe how affordable this was for what we got.
