While the content of this book is not wholly unique from other books that deal with the psychology of customer behaviors, it adds a wholly new angle on this discussion. Thinking through product development with the ultimate behavior change you're looking for and thinking through what drives those behaviors and how to most effectively impact them is a key factor in the success of any product. Start At The End is worth your time.
The introduction of the book listed by Amazon above says it's Nudge meets Hooked. I felt like I was reading Seth Godin if he wrote like academic who swears a lot.
My primary criticism is that I wish it had been a little more practical. While the author does list some simple exercises you can use, I finished the book wishing for more.

Start at the End: How to Build Products That Create Change (English Edition) Kindle电子书

Nudge meets Hooked in a practical approach to designing products and services that change behavior, from what we buy to how we work.
Deciding what to create at modern companies often looks like an episode of Mad Men: people throw ideas around until one sounds sexy enough to execute and then they scale it to everyone. The result? Companies overspend on marketing to drive engagement with products and services that people don't want and won't help them be happier and healthier.
Start at the End offers a new framework for design, grounded in behavioral science. Technology executive and behavioral scientist Matt Wallaert argues that the purpose of everything is behavior change. By starting with outcomes instead of processes, the most effective companies understand what people want to do and why they aren't already doing it, then build products and services to bridge the gap.
Wallaert is a behavioral psychologist who has led product design at organizations ranging from startups like Clover Health to industry leaders such as Microsoft. Whether dissecting the success behind Uber's ridesharing service or Flamin' Hot Cheetos, he underscores with clarity and humor how this approach can improve the way we work and live.
This is an essential roadmap for building products that matter--and changing behavior for the better.

A fresh take on behavior change - let's use it to create breakthroughs in gender inequality

I've admired Matt's thinking and work since his days working on GetRaised. I was excited to get (and devour) his new book, which brings together illustrative anecdotes, original research insights, and a manifesto that behavioral change should be accessible to all of us. Well...I loved it. As someone who studies corporate culture - with the goal of making it more inclusive from a gender perspective - there is so much here for me to draw from and apply to my work. Case in point: I'll be citing (and experimenting with) Matt's research on improving efforts to include men at gender-related events. I'm so glad I picked this book up and have already benefited from it. My guess is that people from a range of other fields will too.

Selling more Cheetos is not behavior change

My quest for insights on how to accomplish true behavior change (getting others to stop smoking, start exercising, etc.) continues as Start at the End provides little insight beyond product refinement for simply capturing more market share for behaviors consumers are already doing (buying chips vs. buying cheetos). Unfortunately, this book takes great liberty with the term behavior change (a more appropriate description for the process described in this book would be product development) likely leaving readers disappointed. To the author's credit, the writing is interesting with fun stories.

Essential if you are developing a new product

I thought I had no idea what behavioral science was, but this book was recommended to me and as soon as I started reading it, I realized I had been doing parts of it instinctively as a founder working to bring a new product to market. Having the full picture, the vocabulary and a better understanding of how you can influence behavior has been very valuable to our team. Matt's expertise in the world of product development really shines through in this book. Start At The End is a great place to begin if you're on the cusp of creating a new product and need a helpful nudge in the right direction!

Pragmatic & funny innovation insights #whatmoredoyouwant

As a product guy I've read my share of innovation books, and this one is in my top 10. I’ll admit that I finished my copy and left it on a plane (wasn't a fun flight). So I bought another one and am re-reading it #youwanteddata. Really appreciate how Matt uses stories to convey how his IDP framework can help accelerate learning + innovation. And he keeps it casual with humor and 80’s references #mostbooksaredamndry.
