I learned about this brand at Head-Fi and I'm glad I did. I have the Jabra Elite Sport, Creative Outlier Air, and Helm True Wireless 5.0. The Nuarl are better than any of those with perhaps a caveat. The caveat would be that I find both the Helm and Creative have more bass and in the case of the Helm, it's overpowering to my ears. If you value bass over everything else then this probably isn't the product for you. I find the Nuarl to be much more balanced and refined in their sound. They have good presence in the mid and upper range but at the same time don't lack bass. The bass is there and it can even rumble a bit. I'm really fond of these and I don't feel the price is too high for the sound you get. The only complaints I have is that they stick out quite a bit and the case feels cheap. But I think they look nice, especially in the black-gold color I picked and they are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. They also don't have giant flashing rings like the Creative. I will say that they don't block out a lot of external noise, so keep that in mind. The other 3 do a much better job at that with the Jabra Elite Sport and Helm True Wireless blocking noise the best when used with foam tips. But the Nuarl do have the loudest and clearest mic in my experience. However, I'm using them in a quiet environment so I can't say with certainty that they are good at blocking out noise in calls. I also don't think these are as good for working out as the Jabra Elite Sport or some other sportier or budget brands because of the fit and IPX rating.
Also, about HDSS... I don't know if it's real or a gimmick or not. It seems like the science might be sound although I'm a little skeptical about squeezing that into an earbud. Nevertheless, I will say I don't find these to be fatiguing and although I generally start to hate wearing IEMs after awhile, these don't bother me. If that means HDSS works, great. If it just means these are actually well-designed to fit my ears and have reasonably balanced sound, also great.
Now, I haven't tried the more expensive TWS like the Sennheiser Momentum TW, M&D MW07, B&O E8 or Audio Technica ATH-CKR7TW, but based on all of the reviews and feedback I've seen, I also don't feel like I need to spend more or look any further until the next generation of true wireless buds come out. I'm very happy with the blend of sound, battery life, and portability I get from these.
I highly recommend them. I would absolutely buy another pair if I lost or broke them.
