If you have to use this book for a class, make sure you already have a number of outside resources on the material. Very few of the problems in the book can be worked without either a very deep knowledge of all topics covered in the course, or other books that actually reference the formulas needed to work the problems.
The books content isn't revolutionary, it does an ok job at combining elements of decision analysis, simulation, and project management into engineering economics.
Things I do like is that the book is pretty short, not even 350 pages, but with it being so concise it barely scratches the surface of some of the topics discussed, and then expects mastery of them in many of the problems. Also the book itself is well constructed, very nice hardback and durable, it will look nice on my shelf for years.
