Pen top leaves marking on pen finish2017年1月27日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
The pen looked great and was what I expected except in this one area. I started using the pen and took the top off to expose the writing tip. PLaced the top onto the section of the pen holding the ink cartridge and begin to write. When I replaced the top cover over the writing tip I noticed that it left a marked on the outer blue casing of the pen. I previously had the Townsend Titanium pen and never experienced marking being left on the outter finish due to placing the writing tip cover on to the cartridge holding section of the pen. I do not want to keep using the pen because this marking, which does not rub off with a gentle wipe down, progressively ruins the look, feel and seemingly the finish of the pen. The look and feel is the main reason for buying it in the first place. I am not pushing the top down with force or in any other way using the pen in an inappropriate manner that would create this marking.
Questionable quality2016年11月9日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
Weight and balance of pen is great, although quality left a lot to be desired. First delivered pen had the cap collar loose and not fixable without sending back. Second pen arrived and fittings were much better. That said, when putting cap on back of pen throughout the first day, barrel became noticeably scuffed. Disappointed for a pen of this level to have blemished barrel within 24 hours of first use.

This is a beautiful and well-made writing instrument and a pleasure to write with. I have this pen for over a month now and have been using it regularly. The only complaint I have is the black finger grip part of this pen. It makes a crackly noise every time I place my fingers on it and during writing. I also own many other Cross pens, but this is my most expensive one of my pen collection. For the price of this pen, I expected Cross to have made it better!

A pen to love2017年2月21日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
I have fountain or rollerball pens from Waterman, Monte Blance, S.T. Dupont, Parker, Visconti, Cross, and countless others over the years. I use them, not collect them. I love the feeling of a well-made and beautiful tool I can feel in my hands. Even though I don't write much these days, this pen is the one I use when I do. It looks elegant but not overstated. The black form is a simple cut tuxedo with gleaming accents. It just feels great, smooth and precise. In the hand it has good balance and weight. The cap is solid and clicks into place in open and close positions. I like Watermans because they use heavy brass barrels, and I don't know the insides of this piece, but it's just enough. My Parker Ciselle is too light. Personal choice of pens is just that...personal. This is the kind of pen you have a relationship with.
A Well-Built, Truly Superior Elegant Writing Instrument from Cross2017年7月25日 - 已在美国亚马逊上发表
This is my second purchase of this particular pen by Cross, which is truly an excellent, well-built and elegantly understated writing instrument. The Townsend's weight and balance are superior, and the black lacquer with rhodium silver trim appearance makes for a very sophisticated-looking pen. The included black roller ball refill writes smooth and solid, with never a skip or a "blob." And the cap stays put when mounted on the barrel's rear end when writing. While not pretentious, this black lacquer with rhodium silver trim pen always draws praise when I use it in business meetings. No wonder this pen in its black lacquer and gold plated version is the pen choice of Presidents. I have also purchased the Townsend in black with gold as well as quartz blue with rhodium trim, and couldn't recommend this pen more highly. Buy one if you are seeking an amazing writing instrument for yourself or for gifting.
