Cinque Terre Organic Pasta is made with carefully selected, premium-quality, certified organic durum wheat semolina; all grown in the Italian region of Sardinia. Our pasta is produced and extruded the old-fashioned way, through bronze dies to achieve the ideal textured surface, and dried at low temperatures to preserve the wheat's nutritional value and pasta quality. Our pasta not only preserves the flavor and quality, but also allows to hold more sauce. Cinque Terre skillfully crafted Organic Italian pasta cooks perfectly al dente.

The added benefits are many...the bronze die is a big deal; it makes a better pasta. I also was VERY pleasantly surprised to see that once I opened the box, the pasta was contained within a sealed, protective plastic bag. Most pasta brands do not do this, their pasta is loose within the box and unprotected. The bag is important to me bc it acts as a protective shield against creepy crawlers should they get inside the top flap of the box, especially in spring and summer when they are around. With eight boxes to store, I appreciate the manner in which the manufacturer of this product respects the consumer. I feel much better about this unique packaging. I also appreciate knowing it is free from common allergens bc I have a granddaughter w/allergies to think about. The statement lists outright the common allergens it is free from--including tree nuts, shellfish, etc.. These are the specific ones it was reassuring to see in black and white. It is a certified organic pasta, and it lists the "best use by" date, that is 2 1/2 yrs from when I rec'd it. All this at a very fair price! One more thing...if you think that 8 boxes is too much, it isn't. My husband and I are the only ones in the house, and we don't eat pasta every week; but "think out of the pasta box," no joke intended. Just today I was attending a brunch and told not to worry about bringing anything. So I put a few items together as a hostess gift....An inexpensive soft-bound Italian cookbook, a small bottle of EVOO, an organic bunch of Sicilian oregano AND a box of this pasta. I was very proud of myself for creating this Italian-themed gift, that was inexpensive and well received. You would be proud to gift this pasta to anyone for all of the above reasons. I am very happy to have discovered this Italian pasta brand, and I will be purchasing more in the future.
I do not feel overly full or bloated after eating this pasta, which is something I'd started to experience with traditional American pasta in past couple of years. Other than this pasta, I typically was buying Barilla protein pasta because I liked the density and added protein. While this pasta doesn't have the extra protein, it's for sure the closest thing to real, fresh pasta I've ever had. I will continue to order this.
