I bought a brand new gas range from a reseller, and the flame was puny. I thought I was sold a defective unit. Even on high, the flame tip was barely 1/4".
After toying with different things, finally figured out that the range had been converted to liquid propane already, which meant the burner orifices had been swapped to smaller diameter ones.
Searched everywhere for the original natural gas ones, and sites were selling the little suckers for $20 each ($100+ for all 5 burners). I opted for this high altitude one and it worked perfectly to switch back to supposing natural gas. Flames are now a bit too strong, but it can be adjusted.
So if you're looking for to convert from a liquid propane set up, back to natural gas, this orifice set will do the trick. Make sure you just match the orifice diameters to the recommended size in the manual.
