I was hesitant to purchase this band due to the high cost and a few reviews claiming the screws and included screwdriver were not high quality.
I am happy to report that I had no issues adjusting this band to fit my wrist, and that the included screw driver and the screws on the links all do their jobs well. Adjusting this band was the simplest I've ever done with a metal bracelet type watch band, as most of these require using a clamp to push the pins in and out. The screw system Garmin used is far superior. Micro adjustments can be made on the clasp but requires the use of a smaller pin to adjust, as the included screw driver is too wide to push the pins in. A paper clip would have worked but I didn't have any, so a bent staple did the job.
Comfort wise, the new band is much better than the stock silicone band, and is faster to take on and off with the clasp mechanism as opposed to a buckle.
This new band gives the watch a more premium look and feel that arguably should have come with the watch in the first place, but I digress.
The only thing I dislike about this band (aside from the high price) is not really a problem with the band itself but Garmin's offerings on the Epix Gen 2 in general. I really wish they would have offered a titanium option without the gray DLC, and without the white plastic body for more of a classic look. The metal on this watch and band is quite dark, especially when not in direct sunlight. Again, the band matches the watch bezel perfectly, so this is not a problem with the band at all, but this info may be useful to some when deciding on a watch style. I still think it looks better than before, but not quite classy enough for every occasion.

That does mean that, unfortunately, if you have a very large wrist, this strap will NOT fit you! I have a medium-large wrist, and I’m already at the second to last notch. It’s a shame because it is such a handsome strap, the leather feels amazing, and it’s beyond comfortable, but their cost-cutting move means that a whole demographic (anyone with big wrists) cannot experience this luxury.

When sizing the bracelet be mindful that mine had a bit of thread locker on the screws. I’m not 100% sure if the screw bars are Ti but they are a-magnetic.
Only suggestion for product improvement I could give would be to add ratchet adjustability to the clasp…but that would add cost, which might not be something others would be willing to pay for.
