My father bought one of these pumps used when he was in his 20s. That was in In the 80s. I used that pump all through my childhood, and it's the best pump I've ever used. It never leaked and it was easy to inflate, even for a little kid pumping his tubeless race tires up to 200psi. When I moved out, I knew I couldn't take it with me, so I needed to get one myself.
From what I can tell, it's still just as good of a pump. On the newer model, the hose is a little less solid than the nylon reinforced one on the older version of this pump, but the valve is a lot nicer and the handle is pretty slick. I look forward to never having to buy another pump, aside from occasionally buying new leathers, but that maintainence is cheap and easy.
