So, I plugged these in, downloaded the app, then tried to connect to the Twinkly. Nothing. Unplugged them and plugged them back in. Nothing. Reset them. Nothing. Unplugged them again, found the network. Good. Got to the "connect to wifi" and consistently got a "failed to connect" message. Reset again, tried again, same result. Absolutely no help on the website as it basically says "download the app, follow the instructions, use your lights." There is no troubleshooting help at all. I tried using the Twinkly directly connected to my phone but the network keeps disappearing. I sent a message on the website. Will update if anything improves.
Update: reached out to tech support which is only available via email. Sent an image of the Twinkly showing in my networks, an image of the tag off the set, an image of the green light on box and an image of the error. Response was "can you use another phone"? My answer: No. I don't have another phone. Their response: "please send a video showing your process of connecting the lights". My answer: No. If you can't figure out the issue from the information I've provided, then you clearly have no idea what's wrong. As an aside - I did tell them that I believe it's a firmware update issue as I have another set that allowed me to do a firmware update, after which, there were no issues. In this case, there is no option to update the firmware. They have not addressed that even though I specifically asked if there was a way to update the firmware.
