Quality of the device is great. Does not feel like I will break it with use. My only problem is how far it sticks out from my audio interface. Perhaps another version could be made into a cable, were the 3.5 mm receiver part is on a cable portion, to reduce some of the bulk at the XLR jack. Wishful thinking though, otherwise worked fine with phantom power on a Presonus 2x2. Nice to be able to use my Modmic with the rest of my audio gear.

Exactly what I needed to bring my ModMic with 3.5 plug to my new DI.

Only negative is that the Antlion logo is on the underside of the adapter so they aren’t visible when plugged in.

Really though there’s nothing negative about this, if you need to step down 48V power from a DI to the power for a ModMic this does the trick.

My 3.5mm mics were too quiet for my interface to pickup even at max Gain. I have an Axe I/O interface. This allowed me to turn on phantom power and get a proper signal from my mod Mic. Also tested with a Logitech Pro X headset with splitter. My friends hear me perfectly at minimum Gain. This is a great product that solved a very niche problem for me. The $50 modmic Uni+ $25 for this is far more economic for someone who doesn’t want the hassle of a costly boom setup to game and enjoy quality headphones. (Make sure your Audio Interface supports 48Volt Phantom Power)

Unless you specifically need this for a 3.5mm mic you already have and really don't want to replace it you're better off upgrading to a USB or actual XLR Microphone. The sound quality is fine but there noticeable static and crackles.

I have two rigs I use for streaming PS4 gaming podcasts that both involve standard analog audio mixers with XLR inputs. While I have nice Sennheiser professional sportscasting headsets I typically use, there are applications where I want to use a nice gaming headset with a 3.5mm output. This adapter works perfectly!! The clarity is solid along with good overall quality. I use it on my everyday gaming rig and it has been perfect. Highly recommended.
