Do not buy this product.
"$25 for a screen protector? Well, I must be getting a quality product!" <-- my thoughts upon buying this.
I was wondering what that giggling sound I heard was when I had that thought; but now, after finally getting my product, I know it was BoxWave laughing at me.
This amateur product is nowhere near worth the pricetag. Comes with 2 screen protectors. First one I grabbed I noticed there were like 20 tiny hairs on the inside of the protector, on the side that adheres to your screen. Nice "quality control" there, great start.
Tried to use their cheap sticky dust absorber (that they only send you *one* of) to get the hairs off before application. Turns out their film-thin dust absorber is painfully difficult to use, and almost worthless when trying to get tiny hairs off of another sticky surface. By the time I was done the protector pretty much had no adhesive left and so I had to toss it.
Second one didn't have any hairs (halleluiah!), but it does have one irritating flake (which, again, came in the sealed packaging) that I only noticed after I got it on. But the important thing is that I did get it on, it finally worked. Kinda. They seem to have forgotten to put adhesive on the borders of the screen protector, so now there's a clear little air bubble running across the top frame and 2 edges. No amount of pressing changes this, there's simply no adhesive there (hopefully this won't lead to it peeling in a few month's time, but I'm not holding my breath).
So, overall:
- half of the product was worthless
- the other half just barely reaches past the "acceptable" threshold
- the anti-glare is nothing revolutionary, but it exists and it does the job well enough
- they give you a tiny dust cloth that they probably stole from a cheap cell phone screen protector kit
- they give you a dust absorbing sticky piece of incredibly thin plastic that is *worse* than what most cheap cell phone screen protector kits give you
- despite this bulky price tag it still took a whole week to arrive
Do not buy this product.
Wrapping your tablet in Saran-wrap would be quicker, cheaper, and probably just as effective as using this product.
"Installation Tip: For best results, install in a completely dust free environment." Funny, maybe you should follow your own advice when manufacturing these so they might actually be worth something.
