Every component was messed up some how!

First of all, I wasnt crazy about them arriving loose in a nondescript shipping bag like a bunch of halloween candy. I know they arent really going to be seen but I'd prefer them to not be all scratched up from jingling in a bag for days just to get to my doorstep. Thats just the beginning though. I started laying out all the pieces like a puzzle and putting together the parts to see if everything was there. Some of the sheaths have black branding and some have red so you know the polarity of each end. Well, I ended up with more black sheaths than red! Not only that, the sheaths have branding for 3 different companies on them! I first noticed cause some have a matte finish and some have a chrome finish. As I lined them up to take a picture (I took pics of all this madness) I noticed the brands: WGGE, Ytuomzi, and Nakamichi (the Nakamichi ones are real worn). SO! I have a completely mismatch set of sheaths but what about the banana tips? I noticed they have different amounts of thread on them and one of them didnt even have a tip so that puts me down to 23 of the 24 even being usable (and not matched). Lastly, the set screws. While I have all the set screws MANY of them have the tips broken off! Some look like they snapped under pressure, some look grinded down and some look like they were bad castings. Either way, it would be a nightmare to use them, if you even could. So, with not a single part in the equation being correct I am returning these and buying from a different brand. BEWARE!!!!

I would give 10 stars if possible.
Excellent design and very easy to install.
Used it to connect the speakers to receiver. Used 14 gage copper stranded wire.
Hence there is no instructions anywhere here is what I did.
1. Stripped wire at least for an inch
2. Removed the center piece of the banana plugs.
3. Loosened the two small screws.
4. Inserted the wire until all the bare wire went inside the center piece( kept the insulated part outside)
5. Tightened the small screws
6. Assembled the middle part to outer cover.
All done.
I want to thank the manufacturer for the clean and easy design.

Excellent price to value, with one specific caveat ref: 8 & 10AWG

These are great banana plugs especially when you need to have the dual lock screws per every connector - with one gotcha, only germain to 8AWG speaker wire. I used a true 10AWG high quality Oxygen Free Copper dual wiring cable and found that yes, these will work with 10AWG size as long as you don't have to have the twist on covers that you normally add as the last step. Real world testing shows that most of the time they are so tight a fit that you can't put on those covers with the red vice black labels because they are not able to fit over the set screws - one or both. The wire itself fits, but it is so tight that the set screws stick out ever so slightly outside the required snug fit for the identifying covers to slip past the set screw and be twisted into place. Now, I don't have true 8AWG wire to test, but I am certain that even if you can get the wire to fit and set screws in place, there is absolutely no way that the identification (red vs black) covers on, much less tighten / twist them into place. That being said, similar two set screw banana plugs almost universally won't allow anything larger than 10AWG and most of them don't work well - if at all - with 10AWG wires. These are an excellent value for the price, especially if you are going to buy the largest set with 24 connectors! If you have wire smaller than 10AWG, the installation will be a bit easier. (remember that with Wire Gauges, the smaller the number the larger diameter wire)

Wrong Specs for 12AWG

This looks like a great product for the price. However, I couldn't give this a full 5 stars because the company claims this should fit 8-20AWG, but I couldn't install it properly when using using 12AWG. For my wire, I could not get the set screw to sit flush on the end that's supposed to clamp to the insulator. Because the set screw that's supposed to press down on the insulator was protruding from the connector, I couldn't put the sleeve over the connector. So I was left with two options. I could either secure both set screws and forget about installing the sleeve, or I could install the first set screw and not install the second set screw in order to be able to put on the sleeve. I opted for the first option and am running without the sleeve because it won't fit. I would recommend using this connector for 16-20AWG if you want the sleeve as part of the install. Otherwise, for larger gauges than 12AWG, I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless you don't care about the sleeve

The Style Plug you want with Set Screw for Bare wire.. Ultra High Quality

Banana Plugs were always kind of a mystery to me as to how you wire them up,, this was mainly due to the older style plugs where you have to fan/spread out the Copper strands around the connector then screw it together. this always seemed kind of half baked to me.. as you would want the most Copper touching the Plug.. These newer style make much more sense..as it has a small set screw where you can insert the full bare wire and screw down.. ensuring full copper strand contact with the Plug. I used these with my new Dolby Vision Compatible DENON receiver and they worked perfectly. For basically $2 per pair of plugs.. you cannot go wrong.. Quick Tip.. The actual plug is very thick.. so much to the point that it would not go into the back of the Receiver inputs.. so what you need to do is ssqueeze the tips as hard as possible to kind of make them more pliable.. then they went into the ports easier but still very Snug which is what you want cause they are making really good Contact.
