After using this bar almost daily for the last month, I felt compelled to spend the time to give this bar its first review. I've never bothered reviewing anything on Amazon before, and this bar deserves a good rating! -- I am that happy with this purchase.
No surprise here, this Sunny 1500lb olympic bar is a significant upgrade from the beginner bar that came with my Fitness Gear weight set. This bar is very well made, and similar (if not better) quality to their other Sunny dumbbell and curl bars that I own. The bar itself is a bit skinnier than olympic bars you may find in a local gym, but that hasn't had any negative impact on my workouts. The knurling is great, and I've had zero issues maintaining grip. Sleeves spin smoothly, and are rather quiet. I have really enjoyed the bar's performance with all of the main lifts and their variations - squat, deadlift, presses, etc.
That all said, I prefer this bar over any of the bars currently residing at my local gym. I would go out of my way to pick it out of the mix, if they had one there.
Highly recommend buying this bar, if anything for the value alone!
