Possibly the best light I’ve owned!!

Very light weight. Possibly the best light I’ve used. There are many brighter battery powered lights. This runs off a generator hub and the shape of the beam is perfect for city riding for being seen as well as enough light for dark county roads. I have a cheaper one and the extra money for this light is totally worth it. I will say it seems to reset and when I occasionally turn it off it’s back on if the bike sits for a few hours. Basically it defaults to on. I can’t feel the draw on my generator hub either. It’s really worth the cost in safety. Plus in silver or black it can match most bikes.

See and be Seen! As a long distance cyclist, my greatest fear is not being seen by cars waiting at T-intersections, 4 way stops, you name it. No One, repeat, No One will give you a second look or has an attitude that their mode of transportation is far superior to your bicycle. That's where this light shines (pun intended). German engineering created a very bright light with a reflecting mirror that dwarfs the competition. Having a SON generator on my front wheel enabled me to not worry about carrying batteries that would drain when I needed them. This light is small in size but delivers where it's needed. It actually lite up an entire 2 lane country road at night with no shoulders. I know, I've done it on the logging backroads of Alabama (but don't recommend it!). In daylight, I came across a several deer crazing on the side of the road. At around 50 yards I stopped and got the "deer in the headlight look". Why? Because it was so bright and stays on for a few minutes after I had stopped, I had to yell to make them scatter. It makes people do a double look and that's what I want them to do, SEE ME! The light can even be seen from the side so no more sorry excuses for drivers. A push of the button can turn it off if desired. I was so impressed with this light, I bought another for my new bike. No regrets!

The wire isn't long enough

They had to save a few pennies, and now the wire isn't long enough for my use case. What a scam on a premium headlight!

Edit: After bitterly splicing some wire and riding for a few days, I have to say that the beam quality is outclassed by comparable lights. The brightness is good but the beam shape is noticeably bifurcated and it's wider than necessary. Supernova E3 Pro 2's beam blows it out of the water for slightly more money. The only real advantage to this light vs the Supernova, then, is rear light compatibility.

I wouldn't buy this light again, though I have been leaning away from returning it because I don't want to go back into Supernova's rear light ecosystem.

More light than I expected from a dyno light, I commute regularly and this is quite and upgrade for me. Really like the flat top to the projection as this keeps the light out of others eyes. If it is durable this is a real winner. A year of being happy and pleased with this light, however it has taken to only putting out a miniscule "blip" of light, nothing to commute with. My dyno output is solid, the wires are intact it seems the light is the weak link, and an expensive one at that..
