It is my experience that this device will not work with the current generation AppleTv 4K. I have tried 2 new Apple units and I get a blank screen and a message on my Sony TV that nothing is plugged into the input. Current generation FireTv works Fine.
Three times I have filled out the Tech Support form on their web site. In over two weeks I have never received a reply. I do not like to leave negative reviews. I either leave good reviews or none. This is different.

I bought this solution to address issues with my PS5, Alienware PC (with a 2080 Super card) and my Sony 4K Blu-ray player. My current HDMI cable running from my receiver (Denon 2020 model with HDMI 2.1) to my Sony 4K projector at a run of 25 feet was losing some higher bandwidth signal. This was seen as screen blanking or blinking, and I hoped that either using an 8K fiber cable (fragile over long lengths) or an HDMI to Ethernet solution would work. I chose the latter, received it today, hooked it up and every single source comes through at the highest resolution including HDR. My PS5, although it can put out 4K120, is running at 4K60 (my projector tops out at that rate) which is perfect! So happy to have found a simple solution that works! As far as the transmitter/receiver units running hot, I see in the manual that operating temp max is 113 degrees F. This is fine as I have the transmitter (with power supply plugged into a wall) sitting on a glass shelf near no equipment, and the receiver will be ceiling mounted near the projector. See the pictures from different sources that show the input and output resolutions that the Denon receiver is reporting.

I use these for an outdoor projection system where it would be impractical to run HDMI cable. The feature where both transmitter and receiver are powered from either end make this an even better choice. CAT 6 cable is cheaper and easier to pull through 3/4" conduit than a good quality HDMI cable. It easily mounted under the projector making a single unit to remove when not in use.
