Light and very solid feeling. Ratcheting knobs are great for keeping a clean look and keeping knobs out if the way. I'm using this to hold the main power switch for my rig. I machined an aluminium plate that screws into the threads from the back, gave it a nice brushed finish, and mounted the switch. Looks and functions great! I'll be adding a shoulder pad on a quick release soon under the switch on this same bracket.
