I recently picked up a Vstrom and the seller told me about this bag. I was leery of magentic bags from reading about issues scratching the bike or flying off. I wasn't too worried about the Vstrom, but my other bike is a newer Indian Scout and I didn't want scratches. I went ahead and picked this up and gave it a try. So far, so good. I did buy some additional magnets. I didn't need them for my Scout, but the way it sat on my Vstrom made me worried it might move around a lot. Additional rare earth magnets helped solve that problem.
Took it out for the first extended ride with stuff in the actual bag. I had a hat, small can of coffee (one of those little espressos in a can), a few head covers, and some safety glasses. Not much and nothing too heavy, but I rode on the street for a few hours and off road for a few hours and had zero issues.
