This cable has decent ends on both sides allowing for good charging on PlayStation controllers and Android phones. The cord doesn't have much protection that runs down the cord from the ports so wear and tear on the cord could be the end of this if you (or your kids) are hard on your cables. The charging ports are well made and fit most devices. Because this is made for a PlayStation controller, the plastic part that is right below the charging plug-in is a bit wide and might not fit everything.
Overall, this is a great cable and does the job it was designed for just fine. It's a great value at this price (under $10 right now) and I think it's a great idea to keep an extra one or two around just in case.

A year of low impact use and it’s…yeah. Even if you’re gentle with it/charge while playing- it’s going to fray and eventually pop open.

I’ve had these cables for a few months now, and they do exactly what they’re supposed to do. I’ve never had an issue with a cable falling out or anything like that. Actually, I’ve never even had to use the second cable. The first one has been perfectly fine so far. I expect these to last a long time.

I was having problems getting pretty much any micro USB cord to charge my controllers and I thought that my batteries were bad. So I ordered this cable and a replacement battery but decided to just try charging the current batteries with the new cable. The current batteries charged right up and have lasted way longer than they did before! I ended up returning the replace battery I bought.

The cord is very good quality, thick but still flexible, would buy again.
