There is only ONE “concern”. Perhaps it’s from the tension/pulling of the band, but there is a noticeable gap between the adapter and slot of the watch (in which the adapter slides in) when band is on my wrist and buckled. Is it worth returning/exchange? I don’t know? Only time will tell if anything (God forbid) goes wrong. I have big wrists. And with my recent purchase of an Apple Watch, I definitely wanted a leather band. However, the band needed to be in the XL range. Credit goes to BARTON and Alpine (leather band). I recently purchased 2 pairs of Barton adapters. The stainless steel adapters are nice and really matches my watch. I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but it seems the Barton adapters can only slide it one-way from one side of the watch. I don’t know if that makes sense? However, it’s not a big deal. Because it doesn’t seem to have an effect on its purpose. I have only had the adapters for a day, but so far... so good. I forgot to mention the size 22mm width fit perfectly with the same said size leather band purchased.

One, more thing, I used the spring bar from the Barton adaptors, not the spring bars which came with the leather band. Personal choice.I hope the picture with everything laid out doesn’t confuse anyone. The spring bar tool does not come with the Barton adapters. That tool actually came with the leather band purchase.

If there are anything changes, I will edit/update this review.

Can someone from Barton get back to me and address my concerns about the gap?

I have big wrists. And with my recent purchase of an Apple Watch, I definitely wanted a leather band. However, the band needed to be in the XL range. Credit goes to BARTON and Alpine (leather band). I recently purchased 2 pairs of Barton adapters. The black adapters feel sturdy and don’t have much play from the tension of the buckle. I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but it seems the Barton adapters can only slide it one-way from one side of the watch. I don’t know if that makes sense? However, it’s not a big deal. Because it doesn’t seem to have an effect on its purpose. I have only had the adapters for a day, but so far... so good. I forgot to mention the size 22mm width fit perfectly with the same said size leather band purchased.

I had specific requirements for a watch band for my Apple Watch. I wanted something water resistant, but not made from plastic / silicone. I found a Hirsch carbon band, which is water resistant to 100 meters. The only issue was that the band wasn't designed for an Apple Watch, so there was no way to attach the band to the watch. Fortunately, Barton brought forth these Apple Watch adapters for 22mm bands, which allowed using the Hirsch band with the Apple Watch.

The adapters were extremely easy to use. One could use just their fingers / fingernails; however, I bought a spring bar tool from Amazon to make things easier. There are a number of straps that have the spring bar built in, thus making it even easier to add the strap (Barton and Fossil make these straps). The only tip is to make sure you position the adapter with the three connectors (bumps) facing up.

The adapters slid in easily and are highly secure (no movement) and are easy to remove from the watch if one wishes to change bands. The adapters seem to be well made and have a nice finish. I purchased the stainless steel adapters and attached them to my Apple Watch Sport, which has the matte aluminum finish. The stainless steel adapters complement the matte finish of the watch and actually looks pretty good.

Overall, Highly Recommended
