Best there is

I run Noctua in all my machines but a recent build required more fans than I had headers. This device allowed for an easy install to manage three case fans and reduce the RPMs to get the noise under control. As always, Noctua parts are first class, well made, and of good materials. The instructions are sufficient for the part and there were enough connections to make install easy. The only draw back for me was the power connection. There is no other power connection besides the 15 pin SATA so you'll need an adapter to use standard SATA or IDE power plugs. Otherwise, no issues and a few seconds of tinkering got the RPMs adjusted to run silently while keeping my drive bay cool. Anyway, great quality product.

Best fan controller I ever used, will purchase again

This is perfect for my Server-Grade fans that require a high amperage input to operate. The product came in very nice and Premium-Feeling packaging, a very nice surprise considering the simplicity of the item. I like how it can be forcibly turned down in order to limit their speed and therefore noise levels as well. Would highly recommend!

Nice concept, but not able to deliver sufficient power to run 2 Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 Fans

What a big disappointment. I really thought that this device would be able to meet my application requirements, but I found that it was unable to deliver even sufficient power to drive 2 Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM Fans at full force.
The controller is great for a single Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM Fan and can drive it at full force. One caveat though is that I find that I frequently have to tap the fan to get it spinning. Otherwise it stalls completely or just moves the fan blades back and forth in a shaky motion which tells me that the fan is getting power, but just not enough to operate properly. I don't know what may be causing this particular issue, but it is annoying and makes the product sort of pointless in my application if I have to frequently tap the fan to get it spinning. One thing to note though, this doesn't happen when I connect a Noctua NF-S12A PWM, 1500 RPM, 4-Pin Fan. It works fine in that scenario. I suspect that it would drive 2 or 3 of these fans at full force with no issue, but this doesn't meet my application requirements.
For my particular application I was expecting this device to drive 3 Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM Fans at full force. LOL - not going to happen despite what Noctua implies in the documentation and on their website.
This fan controller only runs 2 of the Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM Fans at about 1/2 the speed it can drive a single one of these fans.
Given that this device failed in even driving 2 of the Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 RPM Fans at full force, I am considering to return this device and seek a different alternative, possibly building my own controller which I was hoping to avoid.
This may work sufficiently for different application requirements (low power/RPM requirements), but in my case it fails to even come close to meeting the requirements despite what Noctua claims in their documentation.
