1 - The full yearly (2018) calendar layout at the front is nice as is the same layout for the 2019 year near the back. It really is an at-a-glance view of 2018 and 2019 including days of the week and most holidays. Better than the usually compressed overview in most planners.
2 - The separate months in the interior have nice big daily squares for making appt notes.
3 - Sidebar of each month has smaller (but nice size) 6-month lineup starting with the previous month, continuing with current month, then the next 4 months. Again, this is a great at-a-glance feature.
4 - The addition of pages for Jan-Mar 2019 is nice.
5 - Since my smartphone has made me dumb about remembering phone numbers, I love that there is an old-fashioned Name/Address/Telephone diary at the back of this planner. With a lot of planners, there is only room for a few names and numbers. With this one, there is room for a LOT of numbers and you don't have to write tiny to fit information in.
The biggest CON for me is that the paper is kind of cheap-feeling.I understand that it's made to prevent ink bleeding through but it's kind of irritating for me. I use my calendar/planner at lot to record my medical notes for my doctor. This paper is unpleasant to write on with a pen so I am mainly using a pencil.
This is my 13th “Administrator” At-A-Glance planner and it is the most helpful desk planner I have ever found. It is the most convenient and easy to use of all of them – and I've tried quite a few in previous years before finding this one.
I use the same book for household AND small business operation. It keeps family and business scheduling from having conflicts – and what makes it so great is the format with large blank boxes for each day of the month. I can get plenty of information into each one: deliveries, meetings, events, family events, appointments...everything. It also has an eight page address and telephone directory that I can fill in for quick reference.
It lays flat with the wire binding and is 18” across when opened up. The entire month is on display and I can see at a glace (no pun intended) everything that's been scheduled for the entire month.
This does not have the perforated memo section for rip-out notes and the information on the product page is incorrect. Another model version of an At-A-Glance planner has that feature, but not this one. (This same mistake has been on the product page for a few years now.)
At the end of the planner book there is a two page block listing of all the days of the following year and we can jot down appointments and reminders to be transferred over to the following year’s planner when I buy it in November. Very handy!
